Had a FANTASTIC weekend of the "you had to be there" type over at hadesgirl's!

I became friends with this group of fine people over several years through various RPG/writing groups, and I met some of them in Toronto back in '03. This was the first time since then that all of us - plus some! - have been together to talk and laugh and plot and generally have fun :)

Continuing her fine tradition of managing to surprise everyone, H.Girl managed to get tommdroid from Sweden to come - this was our first time meeting her in person, so that was a real treat! There was also the additional surprise of meeting our newest victim er, contributor, kat1392 :) The usual suspects were all in attendance:

It was a mild/wild weekend - lots of discussion and roaming and eating and thinking but as we are quite gentle and sober sorts there was no rootin' tootin' hollerin' hard drinking or late night partying - we save all of that for the page ;) I got to see more of the sights, specifically a beautiful creek and waterfall that reminded me a lot of the mountain creek near my grandmother's growing up. It was hot, but.. I think I'm used to that by now. A blow by blow would be excessive, and only make sense if you were there - kind of like a very small con, but perhaps stranger, yet not...

We were also able to throw a much belated (like, 20 years) surprise wedding reception for timcharmorbien on Saturday afternoon. If you've met them, you know how much they deserved it - they are one of the cutest couples I know!

H.Girl was more, MORE than gracious to host all of us, cook for us, drive us etc. ad infinitum. I'm privleged to know such brilliant and talented people - I think we challenge, entertain, and motivate each other :)

Now recovering from the weekend, doing laundry and otherwise preparing to re-enter the workaday world. Hope everyone had as good a time as I did!

It really WAS an extraordinary weekend, wasn't it! :-))))

And I've done seven loads of laundry today.... but ALL the sheets and blankets are DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :P
