wtf?

Folding laundry only to find that one black tank top and one navy hoodie have somehow come into contact with bleach.

They were old so it's not tragic, but I'm just wondering how it happened - the last time I used bleach was 2 weeks and at least 3 laundry loads ago!

I had that happen many many years ago ... faded half the navy faces off my cream-coloured official BBC Dr. Who hoodie in the wash (I'd had it for a couple of years, so this wasn't a first-wash situation). There was no bleach involved, because I NEVER used it, although it LOOKED as if some sort of liquid had flowed across the portraits ... all I could figure was that a blob of wet-but-undissolved detergent must have done the deed. :-(

Well at least you know your washing machine doesn't hoard bleach ***wry grin***. If you're using powder detergent, try switching to liquid ... I did that after I figured out what must have happened to Doctors 2 & 3 and I never had another fade incident.
