Oh, man! After looking at these pix and my whomping book "Lions of Fashion" about 16th-18thc men's clothes I'm sorely tempted to make a doublet and hosen for D.! All basic black (as he likes it) but plenty of room for dramatic, decorative flourishes!

Of course, he's on a mission to lose some weight, so I'd need to wait for him to "stabilize" before making anything.
