What's a good description for swords and armor that are just soo beautiful? "Waist candy"? "Lethal jewelry"? I almost typed "posh in a men's jewelry kind of way" in my last post, but balked because it sounded.....stupid. And sexist - I'm living proof that it's not just guys that like blades...

Nope, blades are definitely not just male territory. One of my treasures is a handmade glass knife (purchased at a long-ago SF convention), with the hilt shaped into a pegasus head and wings. As far as "useful: goes, it might be able to cut soft butter on a really hot day, but who cares? ... it LOOKS purty! :-)
