Went out to a local thrift store called "Second Hand Rose" today. Damn - it is huge and they have EVERYTHING - clothes, sports gear, housewares, old records/comics, etc. They save everything, including things that I'd personally never save (old lotion/makeup? that stuff DOES go bad after awhile). I didn't find anything I was particularly interested in but I will definitely be back - its fun just to look around and be amazed at what people get rid of.
Speaking of which, I need to clear out the closets - I've hung on to a lot of old things for either sentimental reasons or the hope that I'll fit them again - time to purge. I will probably do that tomorrow if the forecasted snowstorm happens. I find I ALWAYS manage to get cabin fever during weather that keeps me from getting out and about and closet cleaning will cut the tension some.
Think I'll go hammer on the corset some more and watch "Crusades" with Terry Jones.
