DC had it's first real snow of the year today, and I was stuck in on the beltway in the much-more-than-the forecast-2" of snow, pre-plowing. Not another wreck but crawling along in the tire-tracks of those ahead of me was tense, to say the least! Interestingly braking wasn't the problem, but starting from a stop involved a real hazard of sliding.

Had jury duty today, which is why I was on the beltway in the first place. As usual, I can't talk about it, except to say that even though we have a nicer snack area now, continuity was retained by the always watery coffee :/ Hopefully only two more trips...

Does a nicer snack area mean nicer snacks? Some nice Krispy Kreme glazed donuts come to mind.... makes even the wateriest coffee drinkable.

I hear you. Even when you know your own car can manage without trouble, those conditions make all the other drives/vehicles ten times more unpredictable than usual. Glad to know you got there and back again safely. :-)
