Second day in a row of heavy Russian food (leftover from office party - if there aren't leftovers, there wasn't enough to begin with) and little else to do at work. The parking lot was half empty this morning and I think things are winding down until the new year.

Yesterday I was was wide awake from the time my alarm went off for some insane reason and went to work early in the blistering cold (7F in the morning; very sunny but very, very windy. Hey, it's not like I'm in New England, that IS cold for down here!). I wore regular combat boots instead of my beloved New Rocks to avoid startling customers and still managed to survive. Thinsulate gloves ROCK, my hands SWEAT in those things!

Little else to report. Fencing tomorrow night (hopefully) and then coasting on through to next Monday.

Didja know that Thinsulate makes socks as well? (at least they used to ... I'm assuming they still do)

Oh, yesyes! I have a couple of pairs which I save for the coldest days of the year - my feet sweat in them and they are so hot they're uncomfortable if the temp is anywhere above freezing!!
