Nov. 7th, 2004 11:11 pmAlton Brown's cocoa brownies, to be precise. I may be turning into a fangirl, but AB's food makes it inevitable - it is a wonder that guy doesn't weigh 800 pounds!
What makes them special: The sugar + eggs crusting to a nice crispiness on the outside while maintaining very moist chewiness on the inside :) Sifting and mixing thoroughly DOES matter, keeping the brownies light and airy - all flavor, no bulk.
That's not to say they're healthy - the recipe calls for 2 cups of sugar and 2 sticks (!) of butter, so I think I'll be sticking with No Pudge Fudge for most of my brownie needs.
But the holidays ARE coming up....
