I am going to be forced to injure my supervisor.

He comes in to work Monday and looks like hell. Insists he's well.

10 minutes later comes into my office running a fever, hacking and sneezing everywhere. Could I please drive him home because his wife has the car and can't get away?

Don't feel like I can say no so I do.

Sneezes and coughs in my car all the way there.

Weds: His next door office neighbor calls in sick. We haven't seen him for the rest of the week.

Today I start being heachachey, stuffy and ill. Work-to-school student starts getting sore throat as well.

And, yes, I know - diseases don't discriminate, germs just fly around, etc.

BUT....

this could have all been avoided if he'd STAYED HOME when he was running a FEVER and COUGHING and SNEEZING all over the place.

Dammit, I work MYSELF too hard and even I know that FEVER=BEDREST!!!

And no, I couldn't have caught it somewhere else. I've not been anywhere or done anything in the past week except a night-time grocery run in a relatively deserted store. No, not from D. - he's totally fine.

Gaah... just had to let that out. It just irritates me so damn much that I may well be sick on my much-looked-forward-to 4 day weekend. Thanks so BLOODY much....

I'm not giving up without a fight though. I'm going to try the mega-doses of Vitamin C method I read about in Geekchick's journal (read the 6th comment). I'm also going to stack on the echinacea and REST.

I think I'd be hard-pressed not to take him out back and have him shot after that. Sometimes, you really need to just stay home, although some people just don't seem to realize that. Good luck with the vitamin c and echinacea and rest approach. I was skeptical the first time Chris made me try the mega-mega-vitamin c doses when I was sick, but it really did help. Lots of vitamin c, lots of water, lots of rest. Feel better soon.
