POTC progress
Sep. 10th, 2004 11:33 pmFinished most of the POTC coat pattern tonight. I've created a real pocket in place of the faked flap, and a pattern for a lining as well. It's neatly bagged away in two Ziploc bags (secret of pattern organizing - you're never going to get it back into that little paper envelope from the store! Invest in gallon-size Ziplocs!)
Not sure what I'll fit next; I'm thinking maybe this very Sky Captain-ish Montana suit, but given how my energy waxes and wanes, I may give sewing a rest until after the doc's appt.
I am feeling almost normal again - fever burned out this morning, some muscle aches but they faded by evening.
I'm not sure what's in store for the weekend yet. I suggested to D. that we visit the new Dulles wing of Air and Space, where they keep the Enola Gay and the stealth bomber, but he's felt a little "off" today, and at any rate, won't step into the hangar if it's not air conditioned. The site doesn't say A/C or no - has anyone been?
Watched Road to Perdition tonight, at D.'s request. I'd heard of it but for some reason thought it was a mindless horror movie, which is exactly what it isn't - highly recommended, excellent cast and acting, based upon a very good graphic novel which I read promptly afterwards. If you've missed it so far, reconsider!
