..and I survived.

ALL of us were more tired and braindead than yesterday, but I know I still soaked up a lot of good stuff about saber fencing - something about the adrenalin sharpens the mind. And it was only a half-day of instruction today; I can't imagine what Hayes' week-long seminars look like!

Even though I'm in pain (all that spam for "v.icodin" looks kinda good just now :P) and can't remember the last time I was this physically exhausted, just allow me to get this out of my system: if you've ever been curious about fencing, do it. If you're near me, fence with me, or if I come off as too much of a sword-happy geek, I'll find you somewhere to fence with others (hell, even if you aren't near me I'll try and find you a place to fence anyway!) It's wonderful exercise, engages the mind and body, and is elegant, chivalrous and fun, and you can fence all your life and never know everything </evangelizing>

Back to the real world: I'm seeing good news here and here about the March for Women's Lives - the former article suggests that there were more than the 500,000 people on a similar march back in 1992 - can anyone there confirm? I'm just happy to know that so many people from so many different places (including international) came out - this offers some hope that my fellow Americans aren't as apathetic as I sometimes fear.
