big organized "to do" day
Apr. 17th, 2004 10:56 pmHit 4 birds with one stone (i.e., car trip) today:
community college library for hussar jacket research material - more in a later post
hit Staples for paper, CDRs, binders (to organize Margo's Patterns 100+ page instructions)
grocery
It was a gorgeous day (80s F! Sunny, slight breeze!), and while it occured to me that it might be nice to have a walk, of course when I got home I answered email, read through latest fic developements, lay down to read one of my books, and promptly fell asleep :P I really should make more of an effort to get out in the Big Room at it's nicest!
Day rounded out nicely having extremely tasty Thai food (and rather-stronger-than-I-expected Irish coffee) with D.,
geekchick,
madbodger, and a number of other folks not on LJ who I will not name out of respect for their privacy. Suffice it to say we had a good time, talked much, and ate well.
Now to bed </pepys> :)
- public library for reading material
- Jane and the Unpleasantness at Scargrave Manor - my dad was a fan of these, so I thought I'd give it a try
- Lab 257: The Disturbing Story of the Government's Secret Plum Island Germ Laboratory - yes, more morbid exotic epidemiology :P
- Making History (thanks for the suggestion,
jlsjlsjls!) - The Father of Spin: Edward L. Bernays & The Birth of PR - heard an interview with the author on the radio and it sounded interesting
- Jane and the Unpleasantness at Scargrave Manor - my dad was a fan of these, so I thought I'd give it a try
