My first CC22 photo sighting:

Dig these pix of 18th century costume - do you see now why I know I'm not that good? This woman looked amazing and had another lovely costume every single day. Was I jealous? Yeah, a bit, but she was a joy to see - someone described her as stepping out of a portrait and they were right! Not just my opinion either - she won best historical recreation!

Disclaimer: I barely met this woman and didn't take these photos myself - though she did manage to capture E. as our Marilyn (shouldn't be hard to spot!)in one of her shots. Additional goodie: the famed Jack Sparrow costume(rs) (no slouches either - I hear they distressed the fabric by hand for that "lost at sea" look).

Spotted the Marilyn and figured she was part of your gang. There's another individual in platinum wig and bright pink in one of the photos ... another member of the group or just a scary coincidence? ;-)

Actually, that IS really frightening - I didn't see that person, and she wasn't part of our group! Can the eeky pink meme be spreading???

What is perhaps more startling is that when I was leaving Monday I saw a woman in a bright pink suit with rhinestone buttons coming into the lobby - our pink. And it was no costume! :P

You all thought you had an original idea and really it was a highly contagious brain virus whose symptom are the urge to wear bright pink and platinum ... MWAHAHAHA!!!!!

Speaking of frightening, go to Bloom Fabrics, click on fabrics, then specials, then haute couture, then click on the fabric sample on the far right. And make sure your seatbelt is fastened before you read the price =o

Oh, I think we ALL feel a little inadequate when looking at these! Keep in mind, sewing lessons don't always lead to projects like these.

I take a different tack, or try to - I've not made anything this extraordinary, but I'm just not that good - yet. If I keep hammering at this hobby I surely will be. I've got time :)
