pointy hat trick
Mar. 14th, 2004 08:29 pmI realized today that I'm done with most of the Pink Project and that I'm on hold for the rest until the wig gets here this week. For the first time in forever I was free to work on <gasp!>something else!
So I went out and got some crafters felt and made a witch's hat using a wizards' robes pattern I had lying around. Quick, one day project. It's made out of vivid red, glitter felt to go with my Miyake "robe" - so now I have something to wear to the CC Friday Night "Hogwarts" social.
Best thing is, I can give it to my mom when I'm done with it - she's just joined/started some "Red Hat" gatherings and was lamenting the shortage of red hats in stores. Maybe not quite what she had in mind....
Also worked up tentative list of other stuff I might wear as "hall costumes" - the Farscape duster and my 16th c. peasant outfit (sharing a room, so there might be someone to help me lace up).
Tick, tick, tickin' along...
