Looks like Kerry won easily here, no surprise I guess as he seems to be doing better than originally expected everywhere. Not perfect, but I think I can vote for him relatively guilt free in the fall.

Not that I voted for him or any other presidential hopeful today - the MD Democratic primaries are closed, and I'm non-affiliated. I did get out to the polls to vote for Board of Education members - it may seem like a small thing but local politics ultimately matter more on an everyday basis.

And despite the mixed results of the Diebold machines, I'm still naive enough to think that voting does matter, and that everyone should vote. I figure that women had to fight for nearly 80 years to get the vote in the first place, so I'm not going to drop the ball now! Also, despite my threats to run to the border in moments of frustration, the U.S. is my home - I should see it through.

I agree a 100%! and that goes for Swedes too. in my opinion, if I haven't voted I have no say, even if it is about how the voting works.
