anotheranon | Outlook works in mysterious ways

Either I can have my email filters work, or I can be guaranteed that my sent mail will actually go through - but not both. If you get things from my Hotmail account in the near future, this is why.

Slept in very late, got up and cleaned the kitchen so D. could cook with minimal fuss. Four hours on, the turkey is smelling VERY good and I'm about to go start on the side dishes (primavera mashed potatoes, steamed carrots and snow peas). We've been nibbling cornbread all day (that's proper cornbread to you yankees - no sugar whatsoever! ;)) and I've been otherwise starving myself so I stand half a chance of eating a full plate tonight!

Worked on the stays while watching "The Wizard of Oz" - is it just me, or does the Tin Man seem a bit fey? I still marvel at the costumes for the Emerald City, but have seen it so many times that I snuck off in the middle to use the machine.

On this day of Thanksgiving, there is no rest - I have every intention of looking up the woman I volunteered for at the Smithsonian and catch up. It's been a few years and I wonder what she's been up to.
