Work news: I guess things backed up during the storm, changes came thick and fast today. In addition to Internet requests, I'm also trying to help with an ASP application and learn ASP.NET in my abundant free time (ha!). I finally got away from the "War and Peace" ASP.NET tome I'd been working with and found the "Dick and Jane" version so I'm finally starting to grasp the concepts, though it may take me awhile to memorize the syntax. Don't even ask me about C#!

I relaxed this evening with a new episode of Waking the Dead (no, not THAT Wake the Dead!), a British crime/mystery drama that I enjoy, and some more blackwork. (Tangent - discussing tv with [livejournal.com profile] hadesgirl we realized that neither of us watch much broadcast anymore - it's always sci-fi/cable stuff).

Traveled deep into Farscape fandom to find a geeky picture of Crichton to use as an LJ icon. Took me awhile to find, which was surprising in itself considering that he manages to look goofy at least once an episode. Crichton is my male alter ego; I'm sure I'm at least as cheesy and Southern as he is :P (Disclaimer: character/photo not mine; property of Jim Henson Co., I don't think they care but now my ass is covered, etc.)

Did some more writing of an experimental variety but my vocabulary is failing. This, and I have a small grey cat telling me it's bedtime. I need some rest for the circus tomorrow, anyway.

Crichton is such an adorable male scifi-babe. a very well written and well played character. the first ep of season III had me rolling on the floor panting for air. I do not find him especially drool-worthy but very very genuine.

I'm with ya there - he's too much of a J Crew boy for my tastes, but he is wonderfully funny! I love that the Farscape writers decided to write the one human character as a fish out of water instead of a "humanizing" force in the universe (a la "Star Trek"). Ben Browder conveys the humor and awkwardness wonderfully well :)

ang. "the Farscape writers decided to write the one human character as a fish out of water instead of a "humanizing" force in the universe (a la "Star Trek")"

there is is! the point I have tried to find words for , and I have pondered at least a year. thank you very much, this is exactly what I find appealing in Farscape :)

...and the costumes...and the plot...and the mind-boggling characters ;)

I watched it off of Replay; I think it did record sometime Monday, but not sure when. This is the first new episode we'd seen in awhile - AWESOME, awesome little show, but there are only ~10 episodes!

Re: CSI - one of my friends sets her clock by this show - what is it about? When is it on?
