Nah, I had a couple of fabric-y things that weren't
quite the colors I wanted, so I bought a large tub of burgundy acid dye and got some wonderful results in the washing machine. The colors aren't very true (this IS the web, after all) but this gives you some idea of the differences between the originals and the results:
