Busy, wonderful weekend with lots of my favorite tonic, Good Conversation(TM).

I am deeply bone tired, and have much mental fodder to gnaw away on.

I also have bright red socks to go with the doublet - if I can't match, I might as well be loud as hell :)

Word of the Weekend: fellagirly (scroll down), used by [livejournal.com profile] vree to describe me. Also my mis-remembering it as "femmyboy" enticed a weird Jeeves and Wooster flashback in my head ("Sit upon my knee, femmyboy, you were only three, femmyboy...")

Maybe you had to be in my skull that day :P

It has been a wonderful but very overclocked weekend, starting with [livejournal.com profile] shemhazai landing in town and a trip down to the women's party, with which I was much impressed. Fantastic space with lots of room and the cleanest, most well-appointed bathrooms I've ever seen in a nightclub. I got to try a St. Andrew's cross!

The fellowship, play, conversation, and eye candy were most pleasing. About 30 women showed up, which sounds small but I think it's the most people I've seen at a party of this type before. I felt very comfortable, because I knew I was among friends :)

Friday was a very late night, but for some reason I was up at 10 the next morning, and Shem and I meandered down to meet up with [livejournal.com profile] vree at the leather vending for the event over the weekend. Many beautiful, twitch-inducing and wonderfully leather scented items were on hand, but I was fiscally good, and only got the aforementioned pair of socks.

Much of the rest of the day was spent lunching and window shopping and going to a birthday party briefly where we met many interesting people, including [livejournal.com profile] margoeve and [livejournal.com profile] elkor. Much good conversation followed, though by this time I was so deeply bone tired that even the bowl of coffee I slurped up
didn't help me keep up so well. Thought provoking statements and observations were made that I may write more on later after I've had some groking time. I hope to meet these folks more in the future when I'm more awake/it is quieter!

Today was a much lower key day - Shem and I went out to lunch with C., G., and [livejournal.com profile] orangesophie and had much more conversation.

Now chilling at home, doing administrativia and thinking about curling up with Shem for a movie and peanut butter sandwich (at this moment, peanut butter is the finest food under heaven).
