point person
Jan. 12th, 2007 08:33 amSomehow I find myself taking the lead in two of my extracurricular enterprises.
Ok, that "somehow" is a bit disingenous. What really happens I'm participating and watching Fun Things go well, right up to the point that they start to falter. So I step in to pick up the slack to make the Fun Thing keep happening - I figure, I'm there, I know not everything, but something, and I'm willing. So I don't exactly seek leadership (I'm very comfortable as a #2 person), but I am lauded as a ringleader, "list mama", what have you. Even when I'm not the only person assisting. Not sure what to make of that.
Tangential: broke my electric blade last night and am having to choose a replacement. This leads me to navigate the new territory of the difference between French and German foil tips. I am starting to suspect that one needs a degree in electrical engineering to keep one's gear going :P
