This morning is better than yesterday.
Sat in front of the sun box this morning, and while I feel not entirely sharp, I'm more awake than usual. I read some more Pablo Neruda (still on it - library renewals are a beautiful thing). Originally I was attracted to some of Neruda's more burning erotic poetry, but I'm enjoying his poems about the mundane world (odes to different animals and food, to a child's foot, fer crissakes) as well, because it helps me remember that there IS beauty in the everyday. Not a bad idea to wake up to :)
I should do a book post, but truth told it's been slow going - I usually read at night and I've been getting to bed so late that it's usually best to just turn the light out instantly :/
I like fall weather, in theory, but I have in my mind this fond fantasy of crisp, sunny days with brightly colored leaves, not the damp muddiness of the past few days, in which it's impossible to get warm or stay dry. Once it gets around 40F I crave my sweatpants, blankets, and a cup of something warm. I crave it even now, and it's 41F :P
To work...
