I'm up unaccountably early for a Saturday. There's no (decaf) coffee in the house, and it's beautiful outside.

I've decided to make a major "push" on the pirate coat. I've been putting off the inevitable pain of welt pockets, and it's time to face them.

Also feeling an urge to watch either/both "Eurotrip" and "24 Hour Party People" again; as I've seen 'em both, they're good sewing fuel, so I think I will if I can find them.

Opened up the Famous Grouse whiskey last night and had with water to make filing more interesting. A rich burn with a pleasant "fluffy" feeling developing over time. Whiskey must be heavier than water, because it progressively got stronger towards the bottom of the cup. Probably better with coffee :)

I leave you with: Is This a Kissing Book? by [livejournal.com profile] mollyringwraith, a shockingly funny and perfectly lined up Princess Bride/Lord of the Rings crossover:

ORC: I’ve just sucked one year of your life away. I might one day go as high as five, but I really don’t know what that would do to you. So, let’s just start with what we have. What did this do to you? Tell me. And remember, this is for posterity so be honest. How do you feel?
GOLLUM: Baggins! Shire!
ORC: Interesting.

Plenty of slashy innuendo for pervy fangirls too. Have at it...

Got the pockets in. They're not beautiful, but for the scope of this project (eek! Cower at the project management-speak!), they'll do. Also the lining is completed.

Watched "Eurotrip" again (completely forgot the robot-mime bit, which was, as was most of the movie, funnier than it had any right to be). Also watched a little teenage-angst/comedy fest called D.E.B.S., which is a John Hustonesque high school romance/spy genre parody for lesbians. It was very cute :)

Next on the agenda: exercise and vacuuming all the escaped threadies - the burgundy damask ravels like mad.
