back in the saddle

Or back on the piste, in this case - A. finally felt well enough to fence! I was a bit rusty, but it was good to get out there again.

I don't think I'm going to end up fencing this fall :( The semester starts in 3 weeks and I cannot responsibly cough up the $78 tuition + $20 fee all at once. I'll keep with the historic (I can find $8/week a couple of times a month or so).

I AM going to try and host an Olympic fencing viewing party - I've finally got most of the footage on tape (clocks in at around 2 hours), so I want to have folks over for food/nitpicking. Should be fun :)

In non fencing news, geekchick point out that the National Book Festival is coming up in October - dig the list of attending authors! And to the best of my knowledge, it's free - go me!
