Just went to the new
Magruders that replaced the Shoppers Food Warehouse in the strip mall behind our complex. They do have great produce and meat departments (I'd consider eating their ground beef rare), but otherwise their selection/prices aren't anything to scream about.
No, what I really like about them is that they are so nearby! I HATE having to get in the car and get back out on the main road during rush hour to pick up those last-minute things I forget when I do the main shopping trip on weekends! I've wanted to have a good market within walking distance since I can't remember when, and they're right next door to the Indian grocery as well :)
It's nice to have one of my perpetual gripes about suburban living (namely, the need to drive
everywhere) resolved so nicely :)
