They may be owned by the British government, but at least that doesn't give them more incentive to gloss over news about the American government.
Spell check is over-rated - well, duh :P English is a complicated language where there are oh, so many ways to spell it right but still get it wrong (they're/their/there, anyone?). In recent years I've run across books with glaring grammatical/usage errors that tells me that the publisher only used an electronic editor, if that. More proof that computers ARE dumb, and just do what we tell them.
