I can totally see these covered in, say, a red brocade with red tassels on the toes. How to attach the upper?

I don't have a Venetian courtesan persona/outfit (yet? I think I could carry the outfit, if not the attitude), but I would probably wear these with funky club type clothes as well.

Tried on the partlet and it is fitting EXACTLY as it should. Another ringing, nay, SCREAMING endorsement for making a muslin out of cheapie fabric before cutting the good stuff. I hope its a lesson I finally get through my thick skull.

Saw last nights new AbFab. Saffie's play was SO touched. And I wonder how many Americans caught the Adam Ant references.

It feels like it is a million degrees in here, probably due in part to the fact that I am wearing a sweater and polarfleece sweatpants (ooh sexy :P). I guess its still just not as cold as I *think* it is.

Also managed to shoo D. off and wrap some presents. D. also felt moved today to get some rope lighting for the bannisters. I kind of like it - its very bright light, which I need this time of year. Also, it seems to radiate some heat. Is my Grinch-like holiday spirit softening? Hell no - we still don't have a tree and I'm uncertain where to store/display the newly wrapped gifts.

Tomorrow a change at the office - we're going to be learning how to use some new equipment and software for most of the day. Could turn out to be lots of fun if we can come up with good excuses to use what we're learning (video production/editing) :)
