Feb. 20th, 2003 10:40 pmToday was a better day than yesterday.
I was all prepared for another eternal commute - multiple CDs and bottled water. Even so, they cleared a lot overnight and there was no wreck today, so it took me all of 5 minutes to get to work.
We did our project presentation for the 3rd (or is it 4th?) time. I'm no longer nervous presenting but I am starting to feel rather like a trained monkey, doing my little act to prove that I did my homework. Still, there is no other way for us to handle it - no one of us would be able to remember every little thing about this product.
Starting to get the hang of stored procedures. Still some confusion re: syntax but I get the overall concept.
In lieu of fencing I did some footwork and lunges at home. I also did 60 crunches and 60 push-ups (from the knees, natch). If I don't feel like I've been eviscerated tomorrow morning I'll know I'm getting used to it.
Looked through all of my Miyake patterns for a possible project for the Japanese-printed fabric (thought I could make a kimono, turns out there's not enough). There is one pattern that might be suitable, but it's one I've already made :/ Maybe, maybe, or maybe I'll have a brainwave at some later point.
I'm between projects so am not sure what I'm taking to sewing circle this weekend. Perhaps the corsetting books as folks expressed an interest in those. Maybe some wire for experimenting with chain mail.
Buny's E-Fabrics have still not emailed me back with vinyl color availability. Methinks I may need to (shudder) CALL.
Tired now, and Miss Kisia is bored of playing with Q-Tips and wants to go to bed.
