welcome to the North Pole
Feb. 16th, 2003 05:34 pmIt has been snowing steadily all day - there is easily over a foot of snow outside right now and it doesn't look like it's stopping. I'm glad I got out and did everything yesterday, as I doubt I could WALK outdoors today. And it's not going anywhere anytime soon - it hasn't been above 15F all day. I don't think I've seen this much snow since I moved here right after the blizzard of '95-'96.
Took the cats to the open front door and I think the cold and moisture has deterred them from ever wanting to go outside. Both were terrified - a quick sniff and they were fighting their way out of my arms!
Got pleasantly jacked up on coffee and sugar and played with the duster muslin most of the day (entry to follow, crossposting to
dressdiaries - this community is very useful for keeping track of your work while getting feedback during troubleshooting).
The terror alert may be lowered - locally at least this makes perfect sense, as I cannot imagine even the most dedicated terrorist trying to drop dirty bombs or gases in this.
