anotheranonI had an astoundingly productive sewing session - 2 solid hours. I got lining/outer cut out, and at the last minute decided to add tabs to the waist, so I cut these out as well (I've never made stays with tabs, so I figured now is as good a time as any. Also, they are supposed to help support heavy farthingales/petticoats).
I would have done more except I decided that I want to bind the edges with a satin ribbon rather than matte bias tape, so I will have to stop at G St. after work for this (oh, hurt me hurt me!)
I talked to my grandmother - she seems to be doing well. I worry about her getting lonely and though I'm not there to know what her day-to-day life is, she seems quite happy with her dog and a massive stack of books.
Read, wrote, drank hot chocolate, read some more. THAT is an excellent weekend, my friends, and I wish I could have more like that.
