Vogue 1541 Issey Miyake skirt
Made of a natural/beige linen/rayon blend that is at least slightly more wrinkle resistant than pure linen

Back skirt piece with description of cutting off extra
Please excuse the shadow! The back pattern piece is cut with the center on the fold and has plain sides - easy to cut off extra if cut too big....

Front piece, showing self facing and possible solution for taking in
...the front piece, not so much. Also cut on the fold but has a side "self facing" that must be removed (leaving a seam allowance) to take it in from the sides and then sewn on. Which was my first solution, but it didn't shrink the front enough, so I ended up re-cutting the front piece, taking the width out at the center by placing the pattern piece a couple of inches beyond the fold in the fabric (make sense?)

Very nice!

And thanks for the diagrams ... always interesting to see Miyake construction and they make it easy to understand why your options for altering the front were limited after cutting. Glad you had the extra yardage.
