- Mind Games: Sometimes a White Coat Isn’t Just a White Coat - Sometimes dressing the part DOES make a difference. This is why I go to the effort for work, even though I could easily get away with jeans.
- Stop Documenting, Start Experiencing - this is a criticism of constant texting and live-Tweeting, but amply explains why I don't always have a lot of vacation pictures. I just don't want to see life through a lens.
- Learn to Love the Plateau - that expertise comes from deliberate practice isn't news, but I need the reminder that just because it feels like I'm treading water doesn't mean it's all fallen out of my head.
- What Men Say About Women When They Think You've Never Been One (hat tip
vvalkyri). NO, it's not all men, all the time, but Some People's Children...
- Demi Moore, the limits of beauty + why Cleopatra was badass - "Once you step out of the “traditional” life script, there are no clear models to follow, which is why it’s so easy to think that we’re fucking it up..." and other feminist/creative/troublemaking thinky thoughts.
- Punk, steampunk, dieselpunk and now... pimpernelpunk? Huzzar, the 18th Century-Inspired Fashion and Lifestyle blog. If it involves smallswords and militaria I'm all in.
