1. your live journal "user name" & what it means:
Anotheranon - I wanted to be "Anon" (for Anonymous), but it was taken so I am Another Anon(ymous)
2. on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the highest) how well does your livejournal represent who you actually are?
I try to write the way I talk but in all truth you'd have to ask someone who knows me.
3. how much about your life do you post to lj?
I post what I'd have no problem discussing in mixed and amicable company. I hold back on some things, occasionally outburst on some things. I never use my friends' full names - it wouldn't be fair to ruin their privacy on my journal.
4. is there anything you refuse to post about?
Anything very stressful or very personal
5. on a scale of 1-10 how interesting do you think your own journal is to others?
I imagine it's only interesting to my friends - I tend to include lots of in-jokes and sewing trivia
6. from who/how did you find out about lj?
geekchick and
electriccat
7. has anyone ever joined lj because of you?
One person has discussed it but not followed through
8. what proportion of your posts are friends only?
Few. Only personal or stressful things that I normally wouldn't post at all, but that are personal or stressful enough that they have to go somewhere
9. what is your favorite interest on lj?
Good question. Currently, any community that uses lj-cut judiciously
10. Has anything on lj ever caused you to establish, rethink, or even change your belief or position on something?
Not yet, or maybe just not to that degree (yet?) I've certainly read plenty that makes me think though!
11. how often do you respond / comment on other peoples journals?
I comment on other's journals when I feel inspired to do so. I always try to respond to any comments on my posts/comments on others' posts simply as a courtesy - I want folks to know I read what they wrote.
12. do you prefer to write in your journal, read other journals?
Both. I'd read more communities if I had more time.
13. have you ever had something mean said to you or been stalked, harassed, or got into an argument/flame war on lj (or did it to someone else)?
No. I have been the target of unwanted attention online and IRL so I keep a very sparse profile. I try to keep a cool head in debates (MUCH easier to do when you have time to sit back and look at what you've written) so no flaming or having been flamed.
14. have you ever banned someone from your journal?
No.
15. who are your favorite lj friend(s) and why?
I don't have favorite LJ friends. No, I'm not being evasive - I don't like to pick and choose.
16. how many of your LJ friends have you actually met?
4.
17. of all of the people on lj you know of, who is the most like you?
Good question. I could go through their profiles and see whose interests match up the most, but that's a fairly surface indicator.
18. why are you most likely to add someone to your friends list?
To read their journal, to keep up with them, etc.
19. do you automatically add friends to your journal if they add you first?
No.
20. what is the most likely reason you wouldn't add someone to your friends list?
All other qualities being pleasant, if 1) they added me as a friend having never commented in my journal or otherwise talked to me - I mean, I have no idea who they are or 2) they tend to overshare. It's their journal and it's their perogative to post whatever they want, but it makes me feel awkward to read someone who is offering TMI repeatedly
21. is your "significant other" on lj?
No.
22. have you ever wanted to meet someone on lj?
I've never actively pursued it but I wouldn't say no - I've met folks from other online lists/chat situations and friends have been made when pursued cautiously.
