age and impatience

anotheranonI am a chronically disorganized person.
This isn't news if you've been reading my noodling all these years, and while I've always been conscious that it's a personal failing it's only lately that I'm realizing the impact.
Part of this is hanging out with much more organized people than myself: granted, most of them have kids so their rigorous schedules are necessary, but having seen the "herding cats x 10" that they're managing I'm increasingly aware at how much more I could have done or could be doing if I could exercise more personal discipline, especially as it's only me I'm worrying with.
I'm also finding that I'm less understanding with others when they drop the ball. Yeah, a lot of it is my putting my stuff on others, but when I see peers who don't honor their commitments it makes me want to tear my hair: at least in 37 years I've learned to do what I say I'll do and not make promises I can't keep. I guess at least I've learned to keep priorities that involve other people; creating time for my own pursuits is where I can't seem to say no.
Not sure where I'm going with this except to frame my latest efforts to not fritter away time in front of my various screens. Back to the sewing.

What's the current est. time needed/turnaround on your latest efforts?
