first world problems

I was disappointed to learn about Target's donation to an anti-LGBTQ candidate. I'm glad they apologized and their past record has been fairly good but I'm waiting to see if their money is where their mouth is before I decide to shop there again.
But what breaks my fashion-loving little heart even more is my belated discovery that Urban Outfitter Co's CEO supports Rick Santorum and his ilk. I lurve me some Anthropologie sale rack and at this point most of my work pants are from there - well made, natural fibers, interesting detailing and very sadly going to support causes I DON'T believe in :(
I'm not going to burn my existing Anthro pieces but I will no longer be shopping there (sigh). And yes, I know my own personal boycott of them won't amount to a hill of beans but dammit, I don't want my cash going to 'phobes! Happily there are alternatives and the next town over from mine has a few hip/designer consignment shops.
It's also further incentive to do as I always threaten, and make more "mundane" clothing (as opposed to costumes).
But crap :(
