Writer's Block: Too scary!!

Strange diseases. Seriously. I remember lying in my bed at night unable to sleep because I was afraid I'd somehow get Rocky Mountain Spotted fever. I don't know what I was thinking that made me so terrified that a midwestern tick was going to crawl under my sheets in GA. I was only about 5 or 6 at the time.
At about the same age I was also scared of "The Incredible Hulk" on tv. Whenever Bruce Banner hulked out I'd run and hide on the kitchen stairs where I could hear but not see the tv, and wait for the growling to stop before I went back to the living room.
I was a very strange child :P
