Evolving, always. It seems like every 18 months/2 years I'm trying new stuff, though I've gone through periods where I dressed extremely conservatively (suits, khakis, cardigans) for either economy or uncertainty's sake.
My latest experiments involve trying more color and light neutrals; also figuring out what goes with skirts besides boots and playing with menswear (sometimes at the same time).
Constants: black and lots of it, well cut trousers, statement shoes, solid colors. New: buying for quality rather than bulk and used/make do and mend when possible.
I always try to remember that beyond the basics clothes are toys.
