irritation: need graphics advice

I am irritated that as a many-year veteran web nrrd I need to ask this question:

Does anyone know of a free/cheapish graphics program that allows free rotate? I'm trying to get this crossed blades effect with clipart but Gimp only allows rotations of 90 degrees at a time. Using work software is not an option.

No rush.

Faststone Image allows rotations of any angle.

In Gimp, you can rotate a layer at any an arbitrary angle, just not the entire image.

***GRIN*** If it makes you feel any better, about three years ago non-techie me got the honour of teaching our many-year and second-generation IT that IrfanView would let him accurately size barcode images for clients without all the trial'n'error fiddling about and test printing he had been doing (suggested it because I was the one doing all the running to the other end of the building where the big printer was to see if the thing had worked "this time" and I was getting tired, plus the whole mess was getting worryingly close to deforestation levels)

Our IT's a sweetie ... he loved it and said the sizing options were going to make another project he was working on much easier.
