Wanted to treat you to Harry Lauder's "It's nice to get up in the morning" because of the oh-so-appropriate lines ...

... but no recording to be found online during a quick search.

However this tune of his mentions the delight of waking up on a frosty morning and realizing that you don't have to leave your cozy bed and go to work ***GRIN***: Breakfast in bed (slowish to get started playing, but a Lauder music hall song is worth waiting for)

And thank you for your post making me think of the song ... even though I didn't find what I was after, the hunt for a link to share led me to a site with about 2 dozen Harry Lauder .mp3s ... several of them recorded from original wax cylinders. My ears were very happy as I listened to several beloved songs last night (like Spike Jones, he's a good childhood memory sound)

Sewing and reading here. The reading, in particular, is such a joy - I seldom have time to read more than 1/2 hour at a time these days!
