Latest chapter in the ongoing saga of my cats veterinary adventures has Spice confined to the guest bathroom with nothing but food, water, and a litter pan of Nosorb for company. Sparing details, the vet really NEEDS a urine sample to confirm that her new diet is helping, and given her unfortunate habit of peeing in her carrier on the way to the vet (or on us on the way to the carrier) they often can't do this when I take her in.
So this normally quiet cat is standing by the bathroom door meowing and crying and I'm sitting here feeling like an asshole because I can't explain to her why she's isolated in that yucky bathroom.
I go in to check on her and she is SO friendly, and so very eager to get out, and I have to shut her back in.
And I'm telling myself that this is likely less stressful than boxing her up and taking her to the vet yet AGAIN...
