(Because it's too long for a Tweet)

I've rewired.. what? 5? 6? blades now?

And despite all the recommendations of plastic packaging, toothpicks, exacto knives, etc. I'm still finding it easiest to get the wire into the groove with my bare hands.

Of course this means getting metric buttloads of glue all over my hands, but there's still nothing like the fine control offered by tactile feedback and fingernails.

And I have to move very fast so as not to glue myself to the blade. This has only happened once. I was using super glue as opposed to much more sluggish/sloppy blade glue.

The 3rd of 3 is drying now. I'm crossing my fingers/toes/anything else that will cross that this works and I won't have to rewire anything for awhile!

Hey, can't blame ya. I'm sure watching a noob wire a blade (i.e. fiddling with tiny parts and sticky wire) is a LOL-worthy hoot and holler from the outside!

Should I look for you at Highland River Melees tomorrow?

"Shoe goo" is awesome for that too. Very dense and elastic but doesn't get "forever tacky". It's also cheap which is nice :)

"M", the marshal from this weekend.

Oh, hi there!

Thanks for the tip! What do you mean by it doesn't get forever tacky? I want it to solidify at SOME point!
