Jun. 23rd, 2002 10:06 pmI note I've not posted anything in here since Thursday. That's unusual for me, because I usually have some odd thing or link to say/post.
I've spent most of the weekend catching up with D. It's so easy for us to both hide out in our respective offices/sewing room so I decided to make up for it.
After an evening of quiz questions involving lines from Star Wars ("who said 'It will be enough'?") I challenged D to a game of Star Wars Trivial Pursuit, which, amazingly, he won (first time! Because it's movie focused I usually win). We watched a weird show that discussed the "ponyplay" fetish (text article from Village Voice; work safe) in.. far more detail than we ever could have wanted. We went to go see "The Bourne Identity" - light entertainment action/adventure - fabulous use of a Citroen in a car chase. D. thinks I look like the actress in it, Franka Potente (that girl from "Run Lola Run"). I can kind of see it, I guess - we have the same large teeth and funny nose.
It was VERY good to just spend time together, laugh together, be freaked out together. I didn't realize how much I'd missed it.
Today I did some sewing on the tailcoat and I think I've got the tails attached correctly. There are some awkward seams, but the buttons I will use for trim will cover up the majority of sins.
Also watched D. remove a pile of hair from Spice - her coat is short but very thick and we have to do this often in the summer so she won't be uncomfortable. With the results I think we could knit a new cat (which would be named "Hairball", describing it's alternate fate had D. not brushed her out so thoroughly).
Otherwise, a quiet weekend.
I'm feeling like I'd like to go out and be social, but not really very chatty. Maybe just be around people.
