For me? Complete letting go. Sounds like it would be wonderful to do, though!

Yep. Duct ties are long, heavy duty zip ties, about 3/8" wide and up to 40 inches or so long. You can get tham at Home Depot, in the heating and air conditioning department.

I concur. Letting go. :( The "perfect focus" comes. Sometimes even by accident. And if you love what you're doing, it tends to come more easily. The letting go...ESPECIALLY when things aren't going so well. Blech. I think that's why I always failed miserably at yoga. I kept thinking of everything ELSE I should be doing.

I dunno that yoga = letting go. I used to think so but the mindfulness meditation stuff I've been looking into suggests focus on just ONE thing (like breathing), which is still a focus.

Nah, to me, completely letting go is not having to or being compelled to think at all. And I agree with both of y'all that it's much, much harder, at least for me. My mind tends to run like a hamster on a wheel, and it's supremely hard to get that hamster to take a break :P
