I should mention that there is a new vampire show coming up, True Blood. Based on some books about southern vampires (no, not THAT southern vampire).

Very much aware of the series (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlaine_Harris#Sookie_Stackhouse_.28Southern_Vampire.29_Series) - I've read a couple and they're rather good :)
