my skin hurts!
Aug. 2nd, 2001 05:55 pmI want a new face - I feel like the Baron Harkonnen from Dune. It doesn't look all that bad, but its becoming painful to wash my face with anything resembling pressure. Maybe D. is right and I ought to just leave it alone.
I am hoping it heals a bit before the weekend - we're heading to Atlanta for my fathers 60th birthday and for the my mother's family reunion. Should be an interesting weekend, and the birthday part of it should even be fun.
The reunion is always a bit strange to me - its nice to see everyone and find out what everyone is up to, but its also socializing with a large group of people that I'd only see once a year even if I lived locally, and it often feels sort of forced. Unfortunately (or not?) I sort of pigeonholed myself as the strange punk-rock-goth-indie-artsy distant cousin while I was still in high school and I always wonder if my relatives still percieve me as the insolent teenager that I was (ok, so I'm still a bit weird, but I'm not annoyingly sullen and snobby anymore. Honest!)
