plans for the new year

A bit late for New Year's resolutions, but yesterday was my birthday (thanks all y'all for your well-wishes!) and 35 seems a nice round (well, divisible by 5) number to re-evaluate and put some goals down:

• cherish those near and dear
  
• be more mindful and open to experience and learning (I've got the humility thing down, now it's time to acknowledge that I'd learn more if I'm paying attention)
  
• try new things (even if it's just getting something different off the menu)
  
• remember that "the perfect is the enemy of the good" and sometimes risking a mistake is better than inertia
  
• continue discovering what makes me me, because I still feel like a reflection of everything/everyone around me
