Absolutely. I read Falwell's "message" and it is truly horrible. I find it staggering that he would dare to make such a statement given the current environment. That he did say what he said indicates that he must really believe it - which is revealing of such a twisted mind and personality I can't even believe it. But maybe I should believe it, given that the terrorists clearly had similar sentiments about their own religion.
