By now everyone and their dog has heard the Hobbit news, but did anyone else catch Jennifer Saunders tipped as the next Dr. Who? It's champers and salmon nibbly things in space, sweetie!

I just wonder who her companion will be....

I wouldn't put too much credence in the Dr. Who news. The main source is the Sun, and they tend to report news that is, erm...false.

Can you imagine Dawn French on the TARDIS? Just think of all the cheeky comebacks she could make about the whole 'it's bigger on the inside' thing! :)

However, I have to second the comment about The Sun's lack of veracity. Earlier this year, they said that Freema had been sacked from Doctor Who.
