anotheranonWell, winter is officially back. Went from nearly 100F to barely 50F in one week. That's just WRONG, I tell you...
Went out to the largest G Street Fabrics location with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
geekchick for the latest Miyake pattern and general windowlicking. I was very good - I got what I needed (black polarfleece for "cat throws", snap tape for repairs, chalk, and the pattern) and resisted the REALLY WONDERFUL iridescent silk dupionnis that were on sale. Gotta save for the trip to NYC. I also held back on the stretch snakeskin vinyl - I need to really have a "plan" before I tackle a fabric that different from anything I've worked with before.
Now working my way through the laundry and other odds and ends.
In other weekend news, went to Geekchick's birthday party last night, stayed late, laughed over Parker Posey in "Josie and the Pussycats". Very chill, very nice - my friends know how to un-party, in the sense that you have fun but don't go home with a hangover.
Spent much of yesterday completing the tailcoat's "hankie" pocket. Damn, I hate welt pockets, but now it's over with.
