Knitting is very easy (really, it is ... I taught myself from a few pictures), and very stress-reducing; if the knitting itself doesn't relax you, you get to take out your frustrations by stabbing whoever is causing you grief with the needles. :p
I've considered Jayne's hat, but it's difficult to bring myself to touch the tacky cheap acrylic required to get the right look ... :p
In the meantime, today a former co-worker who's had my Babylon 5 Season 1 DVDs for a VERY long time showed up with it today, and with a skein of her hand-dyed laceweight yarn (in blues, purples, and reds) as an "overdue fine" ... that = an excuse to be investigating cobweb-fine lace patterns.
