day of indulgence

anotheranonToday, I got up, put my lenses in, and had every intention of going out for rapier today.
And coulda, woulda, shoulda etc., if only because I've been dreaming (literally) of rapier fighting, except for one tiny problem - given my recent bouts of The Stupid and The Tetchy, I just Could. Not. Face the 2 hour round trip. And IMHO when one is Stupid and Tetchy one does not need to be behind a wheel or a blade.
So I've spent the day doing some hand sewing (which I find strangely relaxing), watching Stargate SG1 and listening to crank/paranormal podcasts (the paranoia, she is tasty). I'm also doing some online shopping for pretty, useless things, Just Because.
I'm sure I'm irritating some people/letting them down but I just need a day where there's nowhere I need to be, no one I need to meet, nothing I need to do except pamper myself.
